Welcome to Abbey Hill Golf Club
Abbey Hill Golf Club is a registered Community Amateur Sports Club. It was founded in 1975 utilising the Abbey Hill golf course, owned by the local council and now operated and maintained by Burhill Golf Limited. The current clubhouse, owned by the Club, was built in 1989 on land leased from the local council.
With over 350 members we aim to provide well organised golf competitions and to develop an enjoyable environment for members to play golf and socialise with friends. It provides a full programme of competitions across Mens, Ladies & Seniors sections and through it's affiliation with England Golf also provides an official WHS handicap for all members allowing them to play at courses requiring handicap certificates.
Social Memberships are available and the main function room, accommodating 150 guests, can be hired for Private use at a minimal cost to members, subject to conditions.

Martin Temple Memorial
Inaugural Competition

I am pleased to be able to tell you that our first Martin Temple Memorial, dedicated to a true stalwart of the club, was a great success and that Martin would have been proud. We had a field of 71 players and at the top of the leader board the scoring was tight. The competition was won by Tommo Tompkins with a very impressive 43 points with Cliff Burt in second place with 41 points closely followed by John West with 40 points. We were also delighted at the number of members who stayed for the Presentation with around 50 in total present. Martin’s son and Daughter, Simon and Kirsty presented the trophy with his Grandson and Granddaughter in attendance.
